Just outside Butlers Cross, near Wendover. At the Russell Arms pub, turn into Missenden Road, continue up Missenden Road and turn into Lodge Hill. Carry on for a mile and the car park is at the turn in the road.

Overview
Coombe Hill is a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest, known for its chalk grassland and acid heathland. It supports over 30 wildflower species and 28 butterfly species, including the small heath, meadow brown, ringlet, and common blue. Notable plants include rock rose.
Tiny yellow meadow ants form mounds across the site and have a symbiotic relationship with chalkhill blue butterfly caterpillars, protecting them from predators. Wildlife also includes red kites, green woodpeckers, and buzzards.
