The Chilterns Conservation Board, North Wessex Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and Railway Action Group (RAG) are delighted to announce that the Rail Corridor Enhancement Programme is now underway with the appointment of Programme Manager, Joanna Watson.

Ecosystems permanently damaged. Irreplaceable wild place destroyed. Wildlife extinction in local areas.

Longer tunnel will not help Chilterns

Delays to the final decision about High Speed Two as the Government considers increasing the length of tunnel under the Chilterns shows that it is clearly concerned about the damage the rail line would cause to the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).
